28 September 2026 – Spa-Francorchamps delivered a penultimate Alfa Revival Cup round that left its mark on the 2026 season. On the legendary Ardennes circuit, Alessandro Morteo and Lorenzo Moramarco took the Alfa Delta OKP Alfetta GT Turbodelta to overall victory, ahead of the team’s 1750 GTAm shared by Roberto Restelli and Davide Bertinelli and the Formula GT entry driven by Patrick Wilwert and Philippe Vermast.
The weekend had already begun to take shape during free practice, when Dario Inhelder went off track in the Alfa Delta OKP 1750 GTAm shared with Peter Bachofen, an incident that compromised the rest of their Round and prevented the crew from taking the start. Alessandro Morteo and Lorenzo Moramarco also encountered issues with their Alfetta GT Turbodelta, but the team’s work ensured the car was ready to line up for the race.
Qualifying went the way of Giacomo Barri, who secured pole position in the 1750 GTAm shared with Mario Salomone. His 2’48”967 benchmark put the Alfa Delta OKP crew ahead of Roberto Restelli, Ambrogio Perfetti and Alessandro Morteo, confirming the competitiveness they had already shown at the same circuit in 2025, when they qualified fourth on the grid. The session was also red-flagged after Alberto Franceschetti stopped on track with his Formula GT 1750 GTAm.
From the second row, Morteo began working his way towards the front after the start, while Perfetti and Restelli remained firmly in the leading group. Salomone endured a more challenging race after starting from pole, gradually dropping back from the positions he had occupied during the opening stages.
The highly populated G2 TC 2000 class also featured Giulio and Mattia Sordi, Francesco Siccardi, Carlo Barbolini Cionini and Raffaele Raimondi, Matteo and Emanuele Kamata for Alfa Delta OKP, alongside Formula GT’s Alberto Franceschetti and Hans Luginbühl, as well as Gavin Watson.
Around the halfway point of the one-hour race, the pit window brought the driver changes into play, reshuffling the names behind the wheel compared with the start. Lorenzo Moramarco took over from Alessandro Morteo, Davide Bertinelli replaced Roberto Restelli and Philippe Vermast succeeded Patrick Wilwert. The subsequent Safety Car closed up the field and set the stage for a second half in which the gaps at the front began to narrow again.
At the restart, Moramarco retained the lead all the way to the chequered flag, while Bertinelli brought his 1750 GTAm back into second place, progressively reducing the gap to the leader. Behind them, Wilwert and Vermast completed one of the most significant charges of the race. Starting from sixth on the grid, they climbed to third overall ahead of Ambrogio Perfetti, who finished fourth in the Alfa Delta OKP 1750 GTAm.
Overall victory also gave Morteo and Moramarco the win in I GTS 2800. Among the other class winners, Fabrizio Zamuner and Michael Gnani claimed G2 GTS 1600 honours with the Alfa Delta OKP Giulia Sprint GTA, ahead of Fred Arve Monsen, while Daniel and Malte Hager took their Formula GT Giulia Sprint GTA to victory in G1 GR.5 1600, ahead of Peter Praller.
In H1 T 2000, Fausto Amendolagine and Gianluca Bardelli took the class win with Andromeda’s GT Veloce 2000, ahead of Gatti Team’s Salvatore Carbone and Marco Leva. André Kardol prevailed in H2 TC 2000 with the Alfa Race Team GT Veloce 2000 despite receiving a one-minute penalty for a pit-stop infringement. During the race, track-limits infringements also resulted in penalties for Alberto Franceschetti and Hans Luginbühl.
In the E/F group, Nikolaus Ditting claimed victory with the Steinke Racing Giulia Sprint GTA, while Emanuele and Alessandro Morteo brought their Giulietta TI to the finish, collecting valuable points at a decisive stage of the season. The two brothers will head into the season finale as the new championship leaders on 32 points, ahead of Giovanni Serio and Franco Mischis, who did not compete in the Belgian Round and remain on 26, while Roberto Lonardi sits third on 19 points. The title fight therefore remains wide open ahead of the final showdown in Romagna.
In G/H/I, Davide Bertinelli leaves Spa with 63.5 points and a commanding advantage heading into Misano. Behind him, however, the battle remains much tighter. Roberto Restelli and Fabrizio Zamuner share second place on 30.5 points, while Mario Salomone, Giacomo Barri and Carlo Barbolini Cionini follow on 27.5. Peter Bachofen and Dario Inhelder, who arrived in Belgium second in the overall standings, remain on the 20.5 points collected over the opening three Rounds after being unable to start the race.
While the situation at the top of G/H/I now appears clearly defined, plenty of contenders will arrive at Misano ready to fight tooth and nail for the remaining championship podium positions. In E/F, meanwhile, everything is still to play for.
All that remains is to wait for 7–8 November, when the Misano World Circuit will host the Final Round of the 2026 season. An unmissable appointment, set to write the final chapter of a season that remains open on several fronts.
