14 jul 2026 – Following the opening rounds at Mugello and Varano de’ Melegari, the Alfa Revival Cup heads to the Autodromo “Piero Taruffi” di Vallelunga for a pivotal stage of the 2026 season. Taking place on 18–19 July, the third round marks the final event before the summer break and offers an important opportunity for the championship battle to take shape ahead of the closing stages of the campaign.
At 4.085 kilometres, Vallelunga is regarded as one of Italy’s most demanding and complete racing circuits. Long straights, high-speed corners and heavy braking zones reward precision, consistency and the ability to manage performance over the full sixty-minute race. Characteristics that have often produced closely fought contests throughout the history of the Alfa Revival Cup.
The entry list for Round Three brings together a compelling mix of returning competitors, new arrivals and many of the championship’s leading contenders.
In the E/F category, the championship-leading Giulietta TI shared by Emanuele and Alessandro Morteo will not be on the grid, nor will the Giulia Sprint GTA of Giampaolo Benedini and Bruno Ferrari. Their absence leaves Giovanni Serio and Franco Mischis as the leading title contenders in the field. Roberto Lonardi returns with his Giulietta Spider Veloce for Scuderia Nuvolari after missing Varano, while Luigi Orestano is set to make his Alfa Revival Cup debut at the wheel of the Carrera Team’s Giulia Sprint GTA.
The G/H/I category promises another highly competitive contest, with championship leader Davide Bertinelli introducing a new 1750 GTAm for Gatti Team. Standing in his way will be Massimo and Marco Guerra, winners at Varano with the Carrera Team’s Group 5 Giulia Sprint GTA, together with Fred Arve Monsen, whose Alfa Delta OKP Giulia Sprint GTA has delivered one of the most consistent starts to the season.
Alfa Delta OKP will also field Peter Bachofen and Dario Inhelder, eager to bounce back after their retirement at Varano, alongside Francesco Siccardi, Giulio and Mattia Sordi, Mario Salomone and Giacomo Barri, Fabrizio Zamuner and Roberto Restelli, who makes his debut at the wheel of a 1750 GTAm, as well as Carlo Barbolini Cionini in the Circolo della Biella 1750 GTAm. Irpinia Northwest Jolly welcomes back Alessandro Morteo and Lorenzo Moramarco, returning with their Alfetta GT Turbodelta after the engine issue that prevented them from taking the start in the second round. Formula GT also returns with Bernhard Laber, Lukas Stojetz and Hans Luginbühl, all absent from Varano, while Gatti Team completes its line-up with Salvatore Carbone and Marco Leva in the GT Veloce 2000. Alongside the Guerra pairing, Carrera Team will also field Francesco Pantaleo and Emanuele Benedini in a 1750 GTAm, as well as Antonio Palma and Guglielmo Maggio in a GT Veloce 2000. Completing the grid are André Kardol in the Alfa Race Team GT Veloce 2000 and Gianluca Bardelli with the Andromeda Alfetta GT America.
In the championship standings, Emanuele and Alessandro Morteo continue to lead the E/F category ahead of Giovanni Serio and Franco Mischis, with Giampaolo Benedini and Bruno Ferrari holding third place. In G/H/I, Davide Bertinelli heads the standings on 30 points, followed by Fred Arve Monsen and Massimo and Marco Guerra. In the Teams’ classification, Alfa Delta OKP currently leads Carrera Team and Formula GT.
The weekend schedule features two 25-minute free practice sessions on Saturday 18 July at 09:25 and 13:55, followed by a 30-minute qualifying session at 16:55. The 60-minute race is scheduled to start at 12:10 on Sunday 19 July.
Following Vallelunga, the championship will pause for the summer before returning for the final two rounds of the season at Spa-Francorchamps and Misano. The Roman circuit therefore represents a crucial point in the campaign, where a strong result could reinforce title ambitions, while any setback may leave competitors with significant ground to recover in the closing stages of the 2026 season.
