Round 5 at Mugello: 35 Alfa Romeos ready to battle

On Saturday, October 12, and Sunday, October 13, at the Mugello Circuit, the penultimate round of the 2024 Alfa Revival Cup will take place with a shadow of sadness in the hearts of all due to the absence of the recent Vallelunga race winner, Emilio Petrone.

October 10, 2024: The Milanese gentleman driver was, in fact, the victim of a fatal road accident in recent days. However, his GTAm number 50 will be present. His team, OKP Alfa Delta Racing Team, and his teammate Giacomo Barri have decided, with the aim of writing Emilio Petrone’s name in the Alfa Revival Cup 2024 Hall of Fame, to be present on the track. The GTAm number 50 will be driven by Giacomo Barri for the entire race.

A total of 35 Alfas will be on track this weekend at Mugello, proving the drivers’ interest in such a beautiful, important, and challenging circuit, which has also hosted a Formula 1 Grand Prix. The event will kick off on Saturday morning with free practice (8:30 – 8:55), followed by the qualifying session in the early afternoon (14:30 – 15:00). The green light for the penultimate race of the 2024 series, and thus crucial for the top of the standings, will go off at 13:35 on Sunday.

The Mugello circuit features a straight of over 1 km, steep elevation changes, and very fast corners, such as “Arrabbiata 1” and “Arrabbiata 2.” It is one of the most loved tracks by drivers. A circuit where overtaking is possible and where Alfa Romeos of every class will put on a show.
